Sony's first foray into the digital SLR camera market, the A100W is an all-inclusive animal, with one standard and one telephoto zoom lens included in the package
- Aimed at the serious amateur, its massive 10 megapixel resolution APS-C size primary colour CCD sensor delivers exceptional image quality with low noise and high sensitivity
- The BIONZ processor provides superior picture production and a Dynamic Range Optimiser offers auto-image enhancement and contrast optimisation
- There's also built-in anti-blur Super SteadyShot which combats camera shake with all compatible lenses, while an anti-dust protection system minimises the effects of dust particles entering the camera body when lenses are exchanged
- The A100W includes a (Konica) Minolta lens mount, a standard 18 70mm zoom lens (35mm equivalent) and a telephoto 75 300mm zoom lens (35mm equivalent)
- There's also access to a series of interchangeable Sony Carl Zeiss lenses and compatible KonicaMinolta lenses with A-type bayonet mount (sold separately), as well as extended lighting systems and accessories
- Packed with flexible features, the Sony A100W digital SLR offers a viewfinder with menus display, pop-up flash, up to ISO 1600 sensitivity, 3 fps burst shooting capability, unlimited continuous shooting in JPEG mode, high-speed AF with 4 modes and ultra-wide AF area with 9 local focus points and central cross-hair sensor
- There are also a good range of manual control options on the A100W, a centre-weighted, spot and 40-segment honeycomb pattern metering mode, depth of field preview and White Balance adjustment, including 6 presets with manual colour correction
- And if you want instant photographic pleasure, the A100W is also easy to operate too
- There's a mode dial for one-touch selection of exposure shooting modes and 6 scene modes (Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Night View, Sunset, Sports/Action)
- The included Lithium ion battery features STAMINA technology for up to 750 shots (CIPA measurement) from a single charge and there's some innovative image editing software to increase the longevity of your image production enjoyment.
